Eligibility

​

• Drivers must be aged between 25 and 70 and in good health☐

• Held a full UK licence for at least 2 years ☐

• Have no more than 6 points ☐

• Not been involved in more than 1 accident in the past 3 years ☐

• Vehicle is to be used for the purpose of social, domestic and pleasure only ☐

• Permission for us to carry out DVLA Licence Check ☐

• No one other than the drivers named in the proposal may drive the vehicle. ☐

Documents to finalise booking

 

• Photo of hirer ☐

• Copy of driving licence for DVLA Licence Check ☐

• Additional forms of ID either (passport / debit / credit card) ☐

• & 1 utility bill & HMRC, or a bank statement dated within the last 3 months ☐

• £1000 Security Deposit  ☐

• Damage excess insurance cover £5000 (Can be purchased using link https://rc.xcvr.co/jdwcampers)

Bookings

 

Full payment is due on booking, see terms below for payments and refunds 

Bookings for EU travel add £250 for EU breakdown/Insurance. 

If you plan to travel outside the UK, you must inform us at point of booking as a VE103R document per driver must be obtained by us prior to collection date.

Maximum use of 150miles day £1.00 per mile will be charged for any mileage exceeding

Payment

​

Full payment is due on booking, we only accept bank transfers for payments (no credit cards or cash).

​

​

Security Deposit

​

£1000 due before collection and is fully refundable upon safe return or cancellation.

​

​

Damage excess

 

This can be paid to JDW Campers in full prior to collection, or cover can be taken out to the value of £5000 using the link: https://rc.xcvr.co/jdwcampers

​

If the vehicle is returned late or dirty or damaged in any way the cost to clean/repair will be deducted from the security deposit. £50 per hour will be retained/charged for cleaning and Labour.

 

Camper must be returned by 10am on last day of rental. Late returns will be surcharged at the rate of £50 per hour.

Cancellation / Refunds for bookings 

​

• Over 4 weeks 100% refund 

• Between 3 and 4 weeks 75% refund 

• Between 2 and 3 weeks 50% refund 

• Between 1 and 2 weeks 25% refund 

• Less than 1 week, no refund

Availability

​

In circumstances beyond our control if the camper previously booked by the hirer is not available due to accident, breakdown, theft, weather conditions, or any other reason or circumstance, then we will refund all monies paid immediately.

                         

                                                                                   

Insurance

​

The camper is comprehensively insured for the named driver during the hire period only as detailed on the booking form. Additional drivers can be added at a charge of £50 within the UK. Driver, driver details & licence will need to be provided at time of booking. The excess is £5000 which is arranged at the time of booking by payment / excess cover using the link above.

Any damage to tyres, bodywork, windscreen and theft of personal property is not covered by our insurance, and any such damage or loss shall be at your expense.

Limitations & Liabilities

 

JDW Campers accept no responsibility for replacement vehicle costs, travel or accommodation costs or any other loss claims arising from a camper breakdown or accident.

 

​

The Hirer:

​

• Is liable for any cost incurred for speeding or parking fines, congestion charges or any other offences during the hire period.

• Not to drive under the influence  of drink or drugs.

• Is responsible for the vehicle on hire to you.

• Is liable for any damage to the vehicle or contents during the hire period. 

• Shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle, as defined in the vehicle specifications or allow the vehicle to be overloaded, 3500kg

• Driver and passengers to wear the seat belts.

• Shall not use the vehicle for hire or reward.

• Shall not take the vehicle outside the UK Mainland without consent.

• Any breakdown or damage caused by you, will be at your own expense.

 

General

​

The camper and its contents remain the property of JDW Campers Ltd at all times.

 

The hirer is required to keep the vehicle securely locked at all times.

 

Camper is fitted with state of the art tracking and monitoring systems.

 

Secure parking for your car whilst you are away at a charge of £5.00 p/vehicle/per day however, vehicles are left entirely at the Owners Risk.

Vehicle Conditions 

​

Before the commencement of hire the hirer is advised to check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving the premises.

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when hired, with the interior and appliances clean.

£250 for the cleaning of un-emptied/cleaned chemical toilets and £250 for the cleaning of dirty or stained carpets or upholstery.

Fuel

​

The hirer will be liable if incorrect fuel type is used.

The fuel level should be the same when returning the vehicle, charges will be made to cover fuel top up.

The hirer will be responsible for the regular checking of oil and water levels, and the use of the correct type of fluids.

Suitable Persons

​

JDW Campers Ltd have the right to refuse to handover the camper to any person who in our opinion is not safe or suitable to take charge of the vehicle. This could be due to any concerns we have for the safety of the vehicle or its occupants or other road users. 

​

​

Vehicle keys

​

Vehicle Keys must never be left in unattended vehicle. The hirer will be responsible for the cost of replacement keys, charge of £300 plus recovery charges.

​

 

Vehicle Weight

​

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the gross vehicle weight does not exceed 3500KG 

​

​

Smoking

​

No smoking in hire vehicles.

​

 

​

The Hirer agrees to hire the vehicle subject and in accordance to the terms and conditions in this hire agreement.
